R18 and FanFeedr for iPhone 0.8
Posted: July 2nd, 2009 | Author: Ty | Filed under: Release | View CommentsA horn of plenty this week from the trusty FanFeedr phalanx:
- First and foremost, we’ve submitted our iPhone app to Apple this week. The app provides the same functionality as the website (with some small exceptions) but with UX features and gestures specifically tuned to the iPhone’s multitouch interface. You can register on the website or use this link to get the word when the app becomes available in the App Store.
- The iPhone app wouldn’t be possible without our new Search API. We’re putting the finishing touches on the documentation, and then we’ll unleash the API on the expectant masses. Stay tuned for information on how to use the API to power your own sports information feeds on your blog, website, handheld device, Internet-connected appliances, etc.
- We’ve refined the way we aggregate and categorize content, increasing both the scope of what we collect — we added 460 new sources this week alone — and the accuracy of the categorization, so you can find more and better content for your favorite teams and players.
- Last but not least, we’ve turned on RSS feeds for content aggregation pages. Look for the RSS symbol in the location bar of your favorite browser.
As always, our amanuenses await your suggestions and advice at this handy location.
